"Just… one… last… time…"

She looked up at him, trying to smile her happiest smile, trying to show him that she was all right, that she wasn't going to fall, trying hard to show him that she didn't mind. His eyes revealed his concern towards her, and when she nearly fell sideways, he steadied her by holding her arms tightly.

"But you… you're not well." He soliloquized sadly.

She shook her head, still with that smile. "It's all right… I'm going to be okay - soon." She wrapped her arms around him, clinging on to him tightly. She felt her strength gradually fading, every fiber of her will started to melt away. The only thing that was keeping her alive was … him.

He placed his arms around her waist, pulling her closer, and slowly, they danced to the melancholy song that echoed in the ballroom. People stared at as they waltzed pass them, but they felt as if they were the only ones there. She felt her knees weaken, but she told herself to continue dancing. She was not going to give up.

He was trying his best not to show the sadness that was piling up his empty heart. He knew what was going to happen next, but he wanted to pretend like it wasn't going to happen. It isn't going to happen, he told himself sternly, trying to be hopeful. She shivered slightly, and he pressed her closer to him so that she would feel warmer.

Memories flashed through his head like the wind; it came and went quickly before he could snatch and keep them. Memories of her laughing, smiling, memories of them together, memories of all the things they went through, memories of the tears and shouts, anger and lies… most of all, memories of the love they had managed to sustain.

Her hold on to him lessened. She wasn't moving her feet anymore, but her arms were kept around him. And then… they fell limply to her sides. He could hear gasps from the crowd, but he wasn't going to let her go. He kept on hugging her tightly, not failing to notice how cold she had become. Her head fell sideways, but he moved it so that it would seem as if it was resting on his shoulder.

"You're already asleep?"

He knew she wasn't asleep. He felt someone pulling her out of his grasp, but he would not let go of her. He wasn't going to let go of her. No one could separate them again… no one, no one… He hugged her cold, lifeless body… knowing that their dreams were perished…

Author's Notes: This is one of the saddest cookies I have ever written. I almost cried while writing this… arggh. While writing this, I was listening to 'Here With Me' (Dido) 'My Immortal' (Evanescence) and 'Radical Dreamers' (composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, the highly talented composer who did the 'Chrono Cross' music… aaaah woondeeerful). I should have placed 'Suteki Da Ne' (Rikki, Final Fantasy 10 soundtrack) and 'Melodies of Life' (Emiko Shiratori, Final Fantasy 9 soundtrack) on the playlist. Am sure it would have been sadder. The title 'Perished Dreams' it copied from Thea's D/Hr fanfic 'Perished Dreams'. I am really, really not good at giving titles. The bad thing that came out of this is that I have the urge to kill my characters in D/Hr and on RPG. ::evil smile:: Of course, I am not that merciless, so don't put such a high expectation on that prospect. LOL.

This Cookie Is Inspired By:

Well, I was sitting on the couch, watching the ending of a Thai romance sitcom 'Heaven Meets Earth' (it has a happy ending, mind you) and saw the hero and the heroine hugging and smiling, looking so picturesque that MY OWN scene came into my head. And the one thing that can make me VERY motivated in writing are death scenes and snogfests.

I am THAT morbid. :P

Not As Much As I hoped - but

Well..

I had hoped to post many entries in this LJ, but am actually still addicted to my other LJ. :p Anyway, to all FA Chat people who are involved with the Hogwarts RPG, I regret to say that I will be off-liney for the next couple of weeks. I need to finish the chapters of my two fics, and there will be lots of studying, as my Finals are in September.

^0^ See ya around when I can.

The Beginning - Mwahahaha

Welcome everyone, to my journal!

*looks at Friends list* I have most people from FA Chat here, and clannoire is also from FA Park but ferretscar's from the wonderful world of harry potter messageboard aka Cinescape messageboard aka Fandom. I have lots of people to add from my other livejournal. *sigh* Anyway...

This LJ doesn't look fancy, but I'll try to make it much better. It's just that the watermelon theme is the only one that lets people read clearly! :p

So anyway, welcome to the Nest of Insanity!

Mwahahahahahahahaha...

My name is actually Mizah, but people from FAP know me as 'Alya' and people at Fandom know me as 'Katie' or 'MWG'. Yes, I use too many pseudonyms, and am sorry if I got all of you confused or anything like that! Feel free to call me whatever you like. I really don't mind.

I love writing. Writing is my passion, and writing is my special 'gift'. Oh blah, I do sound like a cheeseball these days. I currently have two WiPs, 'Scars of Time' and 'Endless Summer' which I am targeting to finish Early February '04. I also love History and Science and Maths. But I am rather weak at Science so the job goes to my best friend,Zubaidah *sigh*

I will post updates of fanfictions and whether I will be away or not HERE. If you would like to share more of me than just fanfictions, go to sirenkatie.
